On my drive into work today, at about 6.25am, I was heading past Kew Gardens, towards Chiswick. At the end of the Kew Road there are two lanes which then narrow to one as you go through the lights. I was in the left hand lane, the lights had changed and we were all moving forward when, at the last minute, a black audi came bounding round the corner and cut in infront of me, causing me to brake. The roads were icy this morning so I flashed the driver to let him know I was not impressed with his abrupt move, he braked severely, causing me to have to brake too! I flashed again and sure enough, he braked again too! I kept my distance then but as we drove up over Kew Bridge, the driver slowed down again, so I went to move over to the left hand side to avoid him, he swerved across to block my way, so I returned to my lane and continued behind him. He then stopped, several car lengths away from the rest of the traffic and got out of his car, shouting something abusive and heading in my direction. I stayed in my car and he appeared to change his mind about coming any closer to me and got back in his car. However, has we approached the Chiswick roundabout, I moved over to the left hand lane, passing him as he stayed in the middle lane. Unfortunately, as I took the second exit of the Chiswick roundabout, he was then behind me and put his lights on full beam. I ignored him and adjusted my rear view mirror. We continued with the audi driver behind me, his lights on full beam until I reach the turning towards Acton High Street, at which point the audi driver roared passed me blarring his horn (I believe the highway code states car horns should not be used between 11.30pm and 7am unless to avoid a colision - we definitely weren't about to collide!). I was quite shaken by the whole incident but very glad not to be one of that audi driver's co-workers or a member of his family today, if he has started the day in that sort of a rage!
