Good overview of the development of the Impreza, and a potted history of the various limited editions. However, the technical information is limited, especially for a Haynes publication. Nice to have, but not an 'essential' read for Impreza owners.

Haynes manuals are world renowned for their concise and technical information. This book contains a dearth technical information which could be easily attained from a handfull of magazine articles. Despite the titlem there is no technical information on maintaining an Impreza in this publication.
If you are interested in buying or modifying an Impreza I would recommend using Internet resources such Scoobyneta and SIDC, rather than purchase this book.

The book covers every aspect of the Subaru Impreza Turbo from early development of the classic shape through to the New Age Impreza introduced in 2000. Not only are the UK domestic model variations covered but also the Japanese domestic models available here via the grey import market. We even get to find out about the US turbo pretender the 2.5RS. No book on the Impreza can leave out its rally sport heritage and there is full history of the marque here.
As a book covering the history and some of the technical specifications this is an excellent resource. Unfortunately if you want to find out how the Impreza works from a technical standpoint and want to learn how to upgrade it you will probably find the text lacking.
