OK so everyone knows that a Subaru is a pretty reliable motor, but what happens if things DO go wrong, take it to a dealer and pay there silly prices OR buy this manual??

The answer is the latter of course,if you dabble that is, this manual is great for using as a service guide and also has the more complex jobs in there as well, it has photographs for most jobs and well explained chapters to boot. The only thing to look out for is this manual covers mostly left hand drive models, so there are some differences to look out for but there few and far between.Covers 2.0 engines to the 4 cam 2.5ltr engine(which we own)

Another bonus is there are some parts of this manual that can be used for the Impreza models as well.

Buy this great manual if you have A Legacy and save so cash on servicing cost and also some of the more complex jobs.

I've had Chilton's manuals for other cars I've owned, but Haynes was the first to come out with a Legacy manual. I bought it to learn about my 97 Outback, and I'm extremely happy with it. The pictures are helpful and the instructions are easy to follow. I'm not into doing rehauls or anything like that (which this manual covers), but it's great for doing scheduled maintenance, like changing coolant, oil, transmission and differential fluid, as well as all sorts of filters. I highly recommend this book for all Subaru Legacy owners.
