First of all we should not forget that 2004 was hardly one of the best years for F1. So you can't put excitement in where it did not happen.
That said this DVD has much to commend it. The commentator for a start - nice to hear Ben Edward's voice even if he is reading a script. He is very good on Motors TV for the BTTC etc and he plus Wattie made a fine team for that year Sky did F1 in full. Previous videos in this series had some right plonkers... Jon 'No Fun' Woss must have either had a good agent or they let him do it for a laugh... 'Gwand Pwee' anyone?
Seriously though, this DVD is a good way of running through the 'best bits' of the year.... lots of on board footage, lots of interviews etc I had not heard before. They captured just about all the big incidents and overtaking moves... there were even some from MS himself... you know the only guy to win a WC without having done any overtaking for position all year... bah!
So it is a summary rather than giving any real insight or whatever over and above the ITV coverage. So much different from their year-end programme... so don't think you don't need this DVD because you have theirs on tape... I might buy this DVD (I used Amazon's VG DVD rental service) and throw out all my ITV tapes of the races...;

I am a big fan of Formula 1 and watched every grand prix of the 2004 season which I enojyed. Unfortunatly I didn't enjoy the video as much as it doesn't explain the races and qualifying really well and doesn't really give you alot of behind the scenes and this is what I wanted most. It gives you glimpses of some press conferences but for no more than 15 seconds but there is a time in the video where you get Montoya and Michael Schumacher in a press conference and Montoya called him either "blind" or "stupid." If you are wanting interviews every minute and behind the scenes, I dont recommend this as you don't get alot and I am disappointed as the 2002 review has to be the best but this video does not do has many behind the scenes.
If you do enjoy formula 1 and everything to do with it then I would buy this but I guarantee you, you will only watch it once.

This video or dvd is very good and very well lay out, just like most other F1 yearly reviews. Ok the 2004 season wasnt that interesting at times, but they have managed to fit in the best and most exciting parts of the season.
